Bio: Dr. Noor Aireen Ibrahim
is an Associate Professor at the Language Academy, Faculty of
Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
(UTM). She holds a PhD in Language and Communication Research
from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Her academic experience
and interests include media and social media communication,
discourse studies, digital communication, technology-enhanced
language learning, curriculum innovation, and higher education.
Dr. Noor Aireen has experience in Open and Distance Learning
(ODL), including teaching, curriculum design, and the
development of micro-credential courses that support flexible
and lifelong learning. She is also a certified Program
Accreditation Auditor with expertise in programme quality
assurance, curriculum evaluation, and academic programme review.
Her work focuses on enhancing teaching and learning through
innovative pedagogical approaches and digital learning
initiatives. She currently serves as the Chief Editor of the LSP
International Journal and has led numerous national and
international academic projects and collaborations.
Bio: Dr. Kew Si Na is an Associate Professor at the Language Academy, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She completed her postdoctoral program at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She is the former coordinator of the Ph.D. and Master Full Research TESL Programs at FSSH, UTM. Her research interests include educational technology, online teaching and learning, learning analytics (LA), teaching English as a second language (TESL), technology-enhanced language learning (TELL), and computer-assisted language learning (CALL). Furthermore, she is actively involved in research and publication, and is a member of the Technology and Language Education (TLE) research group. She is currently a member of the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM), where she served as the Chair of the Science Leadership Working Group. She is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Additionally, Dr. Kew serves as an editor for the Innovative Teaching and Learning Journal and as a reviewer for various international journals. Most recently, she was honored with the Young Researchers Award 2024.
This track focuses on research, practices, and innovations in the integration of digital and emerging technologies to enhance teaching, learning, communication, and educational practices. It welcomes research on distance and online learning, e-learning, educational software, multimedia and mobile learning, MOOCs and micro-credentials, learning analytics, digital learning resources, educational simulations, virtual and augmented reality, and technology-supported assessment and evaluation. Particular attention is also given to the growing role of artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies in supporting language learning, communication, learner engagement, and the design of flexible and inclusive learning experiences. The track provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to examine how emerging technologies and innovative pedagogical approaches can support effective, accessible, personalized, and learner-centred education across diverse learning contexts.
